1. HKDRC 40th Green Half Marathon and 10k – Cancellation of Event and Payment Refund

We came across bad time on cancellation of our 40th Green Half Marathon and 10k on 5 November 2017 due to the rejection of road closure by Sha Tau Kok Rural Committee ( STKRC ) from an unresolved traffic problem. We suffered a financial loss up to one hundred thousand dollars from the cancellation of event. Up to the end of November, we completed the payment refunding work for 400 registered participants.

We sincerely thank to our sponsors’ and runners’ understanding and special thank to Olympic Travel Services Co. borrowed the office space for our refunding of payment work.

We will strive our best to coordinate with STKRC and relevant Government Departments to re-organize our 40th Green Half Marathon and 10k at the same course in November 2018.

2. HKDRC 42nd Mount Butler ( Heritage ) Race 2018 – Still The Race I Love 仍是我喜愛

The HKDRC 42nd Mount Butler ( Heritage ) Race 2018 will be held on 1 April 2018. We are proud to have Swire Coca-Cola HK c/o Aquarius Water to be the drink sponsor of our event.

The HKDRC 42nd Mount Butler ( Heritage ) Race 2018 is an important annual event to running athletes in Hong Kong. The Mount Butler Race stands for its history ( 1976 -2018 ), it owns a unique course mixed with hills, trails, road and steps and the distance is long enough and challenging which no other races can compare. The Mount Butler Race provide 70% uphill and downhill course distance for you to test your capability and to achieve a sense of satisfaction. Completing the Mount Butler Race will make you feel gratitude.

The entry fee for each individual application is HK$230.- and for team of 4 runners is HK$920.- Your entry fee has included Shuttle Bus Fare for transportation to the race venue. The time limit for finish the run is 3hours. Attractive prizes are set for awarding to 9 Individual Divisions Winners and 6 Teams Winners ( Men/Women/Mixed ).

Up to 7 items Green Souvenirs will be given to each participant. These Souvenirs are Sustainable and Reusable ( T-shirts, Towels, Finisher Medals, Environmental Cutlery Sets, Luck Man吉祥公仔，Foldable Water Bottles and Gift Bags ).

Green Work for Green Race - We are moving forward to support waste reduction and recycling at the community level. We will coordinate with Swire Coca-Cola HK team to collect back the plastic water bottles from runner at the race venue. The collected plastic water bottles will be delivered to the Community Green Station ( CGS ) 綠在區at No. 30,Oi Shun Road, Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong for recycle.

Green Work for Green Race – We support the Government project on development of Hiking and have done 40nos HKDRC’s Green Running and Hiking Routes covering all Urban areas of Hong Kong and Macau.
